Children’s Polo Camp

Each summer, for one month,  at its home on Mongke Tengri hill in Mongolia’s Orkhon National Park Genghis Khan Polo Club is host to children from around Mongolia. Children from all walks of life are invited to join the Kids Camp, whether from nomadic herding families or children that have grown up in the city and never ridden a horse before. Campers learn the sport of polo (originally a training method for Genghis Khan’s cavalry) which is an ideal use of their extraordinary equestrian skills, many having grown up as Naadam horse race jockeys. In addition, the daily camp schedule includes art class, sports, English class, an unmounted polo tactics and rules lesson.
